Compost

Colorado Soils, llc supplies some of the biggest commercial landscapers in Colorado with the highest quality compost.  We have our compost tested by an independent testing laboratory to insure that our composts adhere to the strictest requirements.

There are composts on the market today that are nothing more than rotted or aged manure.  There is more to producing high quality composts than just letting something sit for years and rot.  A finished compost should smell like an "earthy" soil, after all compost is nothing more than decomposed organic matter.

Compost heated to 150 deg to burn out weedseeds and pathogens

If you are just learning about the benefits of compost or are a knowledgeable user and are considering purchasing some compost for current or future needs, you should seriously consider Colorado Soils, llc as your supplier.

  • Weed seeds are virtually non-existent because of the high temperatures achieved and the scheduled turning process. Temperatures at or above 132 deg F for three days effectively kill weed seeds and pathogens.
  •  The compost sold by Colorado Soils, LLC is available in unscreened and screened. Our unscreened compost has a slightly coarser texture and is readily used as a soil amendment or a top dressing mulch around trees and shrubs or on perennial beds. Screened is recommended for top dressing lawns.
  • The coarser texture of our unscreened compost both improves the porosity of the soil, when tilled in, and looks great as a top dressing mulch on perennial beds.

Delivery options are available.
